Elizabeth Elmschig MD MPH is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychodynamic therapist. She received her medical degree from UC San Diego, completed specialty training in psychiatry at UC San Francisco, and trained in psychodynamic therapy through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. Dr. Elmschig received her master's in public health, with an emphasis in health policy and management, from the Harvard School of Public Health.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Elmschig is passionate about advancing the delivery and accessibility of high quality mental health care and has extensive experience consulting on projects with these aims. She serves as a volunteer clinical faculty at UCSF, providing therapy supervision to psychiatrists in training. She has received several teaching awards and is a professional member of the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis and Postpartum Support International.
